About

History

In January 2005, 35 people representing a number of different faith groups gathered in Boise for a meeting called by Zelinda Welch, regional coordinator of Bread for the World. At the time, Idaho was the eighth hungriest state in the U.S. We were inspired by a video featuring the Oregon Faith Roundtable Against Hunger, which resulted in the formation of the Idaho Interfaith Roundtable Against Hunger (IIRAH).

Since then, IIRAH has grown to include dozens of endorsing organizations, including Christian, Muslim, and Jewish congregations throughout the state.

IIRAH is a 501(c)(3) organization.
